Fall Happenings at Catalyst Kids
By Valerie Kelly
The leaves are changing and fall is in full swing. Our center leaders are hard at work providing fun fall events throughout California for our families and communities. After a few covid years, it’s great to see everyone back together in person as 2022 winds down. From Lights on Afterschool to Fall Festivals to Día de los Muertos celebrations, we’re having a blast here at Catalyst Kids.
Catalyst Kids – Montgomery celebrated Lights on Afterschool and Día de los Muertos. During LOA, families decorated mini pumpkins donated by Trader Joe’s and painted leaves. Día de los Muertos brought calaveritas de azucar and papel picado. Families also enjoyed homemade pan de muerto and Agua de Jamaica.
Catalyst Kids – Donner’s Fall Festival included face painting, caramel apple dipping, costumes & more!
Catalyst Kids – Del Norte
Teacher Guille, with Teacher Lola’s support, completed her STEAM Project on Pumpkins. The kids enjoyed every minute of it and the result is awesome.
Catalyst Kids – Myford’s Pumpkin decorating parent event was successful. Children enjoyed painting and joining in on our Pie (Cake) Walk.
Catalyst Kids – Presidio held a fall festival for their children and families that included a pumpkin patch with pumpkins donated by Cardinale & Wright, pumpkin decorating, and a teacher pumpkin decorating contest! The teachers created the classroom pumpkins and the parents and children got to vote on their favorite ones.
