Meet Aurora De La Torre, Catalyst Community Subsidy Counselor in Cameron Park!

Aurora is celebrating her 21st anniversary with us in her current position as Subsidy Counselor in our Cameron Park Office before her official retirement in June. She started in 2002 as a Contract Specialist in the Sacramento office and then in 2015 came to the Cameron Park Catalyst Community office and has been here ever since working as a Subsidy Counselor. A typical day for Aurora consists of keeping family and provider files in compliance, meeting with parents for Recerts or Initial enrollments, calling to follow up on parents’ needs, answering attendance log questions from Providers, and helping with walk-ins for info on our agency. Aurora is bilingual (English/Spanish) and she believes the most rewarding part of her day is being able to help out Spanish-speaking clients

Aurora’s favorite thing about working at Catalyst Community is the satisfaction of helping families in need and being in an office where everyone gets along and helps out with anything that is needed. Her current hobbies are making jewelry with 2 of her sisters and sewing. She is a phenomenal team player with an admirable work ethic and applies her all to everything she does.
