Universal Pre-K & Importance Of Family Choice Options

We all are so honored to represent Catalyst Kids and provide input from our various roles of Regional Director (Shayla Williams-Barnes), Site Supervisor (Stephanie Martinez), and Master Teacher (Manuel Infante) at the first Universal Pre-K Mixed Delivery Planning Grant Workgroup which is hosted by the Sacramento County Office of Education. In our workgroup, we collaborate with other districts, agencies, programs, and childcare center leaders on exploring and discussing ways to ensure families have choices when choosing preschool and Pre-K programming for their students. We are focusing on the importance of high-quality programs, accessibility, supporting multilingual learners, outreach, and support of teachers amongst other things. Our workgroup plan will be submitted to both the County Board of Education and the California Department of Education at the end of June. More to come!
